Also a widespread Palaearctic species. It was repeatedly described from areas of Russia and China bordering with Mongolia as E. altaicata Guenée, E. vellicata Dietze, and E. pimpinellata f. assimilis Dietze. It was recorded for the fauna of Mongolia by Viidalepp (1975) and Vojnits (1975) almost simultaneously. Mongolia (aimags): Bulgan, Tuv.
