Eupithecia recens Dietze, 1904, Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris [1903] 16 (2): 349, taf. 3, fig. 26. Syntype (s) 3 (coll. K. Dietze in MNHU, examined), Central Asia [China]: Kuku-Noor (near lake); [Russia]: Sidimi (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Misidentification: Eupithecia repentina: sensu Mironov, 1990 (for Mongolia) (nec Vojnits & de Laever, 1978).

This species has long been known as E. recens Dietze. The male and female genitalia of this species were described and illustrated by de Laever (1960) under this name. However a study by the authors of the worn type specimen of E. uliata and its genitalia in the collection of MNHU, Berlin (Fig. 18) reveals that it belongs to the same species. The name E. uliata has precedence. Mongolia (aimags): Khuvsgul, Tuv.
