Eupithecia praenubilata Inoue, 1958, Tinea 4 (2): (252), fig. 9; pl. 34, fig. 22. Holotype ♂ (coll. H. Inoue in BMNH, examined), [Japan]: Kushiro, Shibecha (treated as subsp. of E. actaeata Walderdorff, 1869 in Inoue, 1963).

Widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region from the Pyrenees in the west to Japan in the east. Not previously recorded from Mongolia.
