• Small to medium-sized, long-tailed marsupials with short forelimbs and long hindlimbs, pelage mostly gray or brownish, often with some rufous tones.
• 55-83 cm.
• Australiasian Region.
• Forest and woodland with a dense understory of grass or shrubs, or dense heath and shrublands.
• 3 genera, 8 species, at least 10 extant taxa.
• 2 species Critically Endangered, 2 species Endangered; 2 subspecies and 2 species Extinct since 1600.
