Literature records: Central(?), Concepción, “ Paraguay ” (s. loc.) (Emery 1896b, Forel 1907b, Forel 1907d). Records probably pertain to persimillis, C. grandinosus has a more northerly distribution (De Andrade and Baroni-Urbani 1999).
