Hylophilus flaviventris Cabanis
Hylophilus flaviventris Cabanis, 1873a: 64 .
Now: Hylophilus hypoxanthus flaviventris Cabanis, 1873 . See Hellmayr (1935: 164).
Type series: Cabanis (1873a: 64) based this species on an unspecified number of specimens. Taczanowski (1875: 509) stated that Jelski sent from Peru a unique specimen of this species (see also Sclater 1881: 303), which is thus the holotype. The holotype was deposited in the MIZ (Sclater 1881: 303, Taczanowski 1889: 10), but was destroyed in the 1920s (cf. Sztolcman & Domaniewski 1927: 159; see Mlíkovský 2009b for details).
Holotype: MIZ unnumbered (N.7175), 3 (according to Taczanowski 1875: 509, 1889: 10; unsexed according to Cabanis 1873a: 64) collected by Jelski on an unknown date [= August to December 1870] at "Monterico" [= Monterrico, Peru]. Sclater (1881: 303) wrote that the specimen was collected in 1872, which is incorrect, because Jelski did not collect at Monterrico in that year (see Mlíkovský 2009b).
Type locality: "Monterico" (Cabanis 1873a: 64), i.e. Monterrico, Peru [12.05°S, 74.10°W].
