The male specimen of Callichroma rufiventre Germar, 1824: 495, from Brazil (Acc 18748) (Figure 7) is herein designated as the lectotype in order to stabilize the taxonomy and facilitate further identifications of this species; one male specimen and 3 females, same locality, are herein designated as paralectotypes.

Type material. Lectotype male (Figure 7) (present designation): “ rufiventre / m. / Calliph. rufiventre / Germ. / Bras. N. Olf.” “18748” and “ LECTOTYPE / Aglaoschema rufiventre (Germar, 1824) / des. Monné & Monné 2015” (ZMHB).

Paralectotypes: 1 male and 3 females, same labels: “Hist. Coll. ( Coleoptera) / Nr. 18748 / Orthostoma / rufiventre Germ. / Brasil v. Olf. / Zool. Mus. Berlin” and “ PARALECTOTYPE / Aglaoschema rufiventre (Germar, 1824) / des. Monné & Monné 2015” (ZMHB).

Distribution. Brazil (Paraíba, Goiás. Bahia, Espírito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul), Argentina (Misiones).
