Diagnosis. Wingspan 13.0–15.0 mm. The forewing pattern is similar to those of the above two species, but it can be distinguished by the male genitalia as follows: median lobe on ventral margin of valva smaller, lacking spines, not followed by a deep emargination; the cucullus more elongated; and the aedeagus with a sickle-shaped apical plate of banded cornutus.

Material examined. Since the species was described, no additional records have appeared. The lectotype is deposited in NHMUK, London (3, India, Khasi Hills, Assam, iii 1907, gen. slide no. Clarke-8814) is the only available specimen .
