Genus Pompographa Gozmány, 1971
Type species: Brachmia philosopha Meyrick, 1911: 708 .
The genus Pompographa Gozmány is defined by the following morphological characteristics: antenna with distinct, blackish annulations on the flagellum; forewing produced apically, with termen deeply concaved beyond apex; a dark-fuscous patch before middle and a large kidney-shaped spot near the end of discal cell; venation with R 2,R 3,R 4, and R 5 on a common stalk; M 3 and CuA 1 coincident; and the hind wing with a broad expansion before 2A on inner margin; apex sharply produced similar as that in gelechiid genera; venation with M 2 present, M 3 and CuA 1 nearly connate at base. The abdominal tergites have spinose zones.
