A33E9C84CA8B39AF4FEF92CE695B1029.taxon	discussion	All specimens Schlegel (1863 h) listed in his description are still available. The type localities " Mers australes, cotes de la Nouvelle Zeelande, Mers de l'Australie, Nouvelle Caledonie " must be an error since P. incerta does not occur there but ranges through the South Atlantic Ocean, off the east coast of South America to the west coast of Africa, and breeds only on Tristan and Gough Islands of Tristan da Cunha. De Beligny possibly collected his specimen on the journey to or from New Zealand (in 1840 or 1845). Some doubt remains about the taxonomic identity of the downy chick (G. O. Keijl, pers. comm., 31 October 2007).	en	van der Mije, Steven D., Kamminga, Pepijn, Dekker, Rene W. R. J. (2023): Type specimens of non-passerines in Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Animalia, Aves).
