Hyphae hyaline to pale brown, septate, branched, smooth-walled, 1.5 – 2.5 μm wide. Pycnidia brown, superficial or immersed in culture colonies, solitary or clustered, subglobose, 170 – 250 × 220 – 300 μm. Pycnidia wall brown to bark brown, composed of pale brown cells of textura angularis, 5.5 – 9.5 μm diam. Seta dark brown, erect or curved, septate, straight or curved, smooth-walled, 37 – 76 μm long. Conidia hyaline, ellipsoidal to cylindrical, aseptate, smooth-walled, with two small guttulate, 3.5 – 5 × 1 – 2.5 μm. Sexual morph and chlamydospores not observed. Cultural characteristics: Colonies on PDA surface pale olivaceous-gray, reverse olivaceous-gray, velvety, circular, hyphae dense, entire margin, reaching 45 mm diam in 20 days. Colonies on OA surface pale olivaceous-gray, reverse white, hyphae dense, entire margin, reaching 40 mm diam in 20 days. Additional cultures examined: CHINA. Yunnan Province, Huize City, isolated from soil of rocky desertification areas, October 2020, Z. F. Yu, living culture H 95, stored in a metabolically inactive state.
