The specific epithet is a noun in apposition, honoring of Dr. Le Thuong, a former teacher who supported the first and third authors during the early stages of their careers.

Diagnosis. Males of Systaria lethuongi sp. nov., closely resemble S. bregibec Jäger, 2018 in having short embolus and a ventral hump of palpal tibia, but differ from the latter by the following characteristics: tip of the embolus significantly lower than and fully covered by conductor in ventral view (Figs 3–4) while close to tip of the conductor and almost fully covered in S. bregibec (as in Jäger 2018: fig. 27); conductor bent, directed ventrad in the retrolateral view (Fig. 5) vs. almost straight and anteriad (Jäger 2018: fig. 28); RTA erected, its base narrow and arising from the middle of the tibia, without a ventral process (Fig. 5) vs. obliquely oriented, its base wide, more dorsal base and a pointed ventral process (Jäger 2018: fig. 28). Females are similar to those of S. lannops Jäger, 2018 in the general conformation of the copulatory organs, but can be distinguished by: epigyne without median rims of atrium (Figs 6–7) vs. median rims present in S. lannops (as in Jäger 2018: figs 1, 3, 5); bursae nearly parallel (Fig. 8) while distinctly olique about 450 (Jäger 2018: figs 2, 4); connecting tube short, bent outward and partly visibled (Fig. 8) vs. long, bent inward and fully visibled (Jäger 2018: figs 2, 4); spermathecae far from each other, nearly two times of their diameter (Fig. 8) vs. less than one of their diameter (Jäger 2018: figs 2, 4).

Description. Male (holotype, Figs 1, 3–5). Total length 7.81. Prosoma length 3.89, width 2.62; opisthosoma length 3.92, width 1.91. Clypeus height 0.16. Prosoma yellowish brown covered with pale white hairs, thoracic groove wellmarked with a conspicuous longitudinal fovea (Fig. 1). Sternum yellowish brown covered with some long dark hairs and possessing three pairs of humps. Endites and labium darker than sternum, and lighter at the its tip. Chelicerae dark brown, closed with densely long pale hairs, promargin with four teeth, retromargin with two teeth. Opisthosoma: yellow, covered with dense, long pale white hairs, dorsum with two pairs of sigilla centrally, and several inverted-chevrons posterior half (Fig. 1). Spinnerets yellowish. Legs yellow, with dense short hairs and long spines. All trochanters are notched. Tibia approximately half cymbium length, with a hump ventrally (Figs 3–5). RTA erected, pointed and bent at its tip, directed ventrally in ventral view (Fig. 5). Conductor longer than wide, covering the tip of embolus and extending distally beyond it (Figs. 3–4). Embolus blunt, its base beginning at 9 o’clock position, slightly bent, directed at 12.30 o’clock position (Figs 3–4).

Female (Figs 2, 6–8). Almost the same as male (Fig. 2). Measurements: Total length 8.81. Prosoma length 4.21, width 2.87; opisthosoma length 4.60, width 2.75. Clypeus height 0.18. Leg formula IV–I–II–III.

Epigyne (Figs 6–8): slightly longer than wide, two atriums separated by a median plate that is narrow anteriorly and gradually broadens posteriorly, with an indistinct posterior furrow (Figs 6–7). Copulatory openings located laterally at posterior margin of atrium (Figs 6–7). Vulva with a pair of large, nearly parallel bursae (Fig. 8). Copulatory ducts short and partially covered by the bursae. Connecting tubes short, bent outward. Spermathecae rounded and widely separated. Fertilisation ducts originate from a postero-lateral position.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.

Natural history.
