Mucro bidentate, basal tooth as long as apical one, basal spine exceeding apex of basal tooth, without any accessory spinelet (Fig. 8F).

Remarks. Lepidocyrtus (C.) cyaneuropygus sp. nov. shares characteristics with L. (C.) sandakanicus, such as the labial triangle chaetotaxy (M 1 M 2 RE/L 1 L 2), and with L. (C.) sepilokensis in its unguis dentition, possessing two unpaired inner teeth and two paired basal teeth; however, it is distinguished from L. (C.) sandakanicus by its color pattern, exhibiting pigmentation on the last two abdominal segments rather than distinct bands on Abd. III and the middle of Abd. IV, a trochanteral organ with 24–25 spiney mic (versus 10). Furthermore, it differs from L. (C.) sepilokensis in its coloration, the higher number of spiney mic in its trochanteral organ (24–25 vs. 15), and its distinct M 1 M 2 RE/L 1 L 2 labial triangle chaetae arrangement. The unique pigmentation on abdominal segments V–VI, two inner unpaired teeth, two basal paired teeth, one outer tooth, one paired lateral teeth and the trochanteral organ with 24–25 spiney mic (Fig. 3A, Table 1) are defining characteristics that differentiates it from all other species in the subgenus. Even so, while L. (C.) reductus also shares a faint white pigment on Abd. V and two inner basal teeth on the unguis, L. (C.) cyaneuropygus sp. nov. can be distinguished from it by a suite of other morphological characters (see Table 1), along with its chaetotaxy.

Ecology. Soil samples and the specimens were collected under stone near Acacia arabica tree (Babul tree) (Fig. 3A). Physicochemical properties of tested soil were as follows: Temperature- 27°C, Moisture- 11%, pH- 8.36, Electrical conductivity (dS/m)- 3.319, Organic carbon- 0.48%, Nitrogen (kg/ha)- 267.27, P 2 O 5 (kg/ha)- 85.79, K 2 O (kg/ha)- 227.92, S (ppm)- 5.10, B (ppm)- 0.62, Zn (ppm)- 2.836, Fe (ppm)- 16.97, Mn (ppm)- 0.53, Cu (ppm)- 1.50. Here soil physicochemical properties are presented as fundamental soil characteristics, additional information is needed to determine their correlation with the species' specific habitat preferences.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/BE113D4B0B2DFFDFFF66FF47FBD8FB5B	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. Lepidocyrtus (C.) medius was described by Schäffer, (1898) as Lepidocyrtus medius from the Bismarck Archipelago. Later, Yoshii (1962) reported it from Sabah, East Malaysia and placed in the subgenus Ascocyrtus based on the rounded dental appendix. Specimens lack body pigmentation; coloration is confined to the front of the head and the antennal segments. Specimens examined show 16 trochanteral organ chaetae with ‘L’ shaped arrangement, where Yoshii (1962) mentioned 10 chaetae, and we believe this character can vary within the species. Schäffer, (1898) mentioned the presence of 2 very small inner teeth in the fore claw, where as it seems 1 pair of basal teeth and 1 inner unpaired tooth (Fig. 15B). Manubrial plaque with presence of nine ciliated chaetae and three psp (Fig. 15C) whereas Yoshii (1982) described 7 chaetae with 2 psp and a small glandular aperture, the meaning of which was not explained; this character can also vary within the species. Here, a detailed chaetotaxy of the species is provided for the first time, along with additional features added that were absent from the previous descriptions.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/BE113D4B0B39FFC4FF66FF09FECBF9BA	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. Manubrial plaque with 2 psp and 5 ciliated chaetae (Fig. 18C). Mucro bidented with a basal spine and spinelet absent.

Remarks. Lepidocyrtus (Ascocyrtus) concolourus Nguyen, 2001 was originally described from leaf litter collected in a park in northern Vietnam. The present study reports this species for the first time from India (Kachchh district, Gujarat State). The diagnostic features of the examined specimens are consistent with the original description, with the exception of the VT chaetae count. Notably, the unguis bears four inner teeth in the present material, in contrast to the three inner teeth reported in the original description. Complements to the original description, including additional information on chaetotaxy, are herein provided.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/BE113D4B0B3FFFCDFF66FC1CFC79F9EF	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
