98582A2C0702FFC7FF1C8170FF42FA9B.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. A moderately robust zygopteran with a large head. The overall body color dark brown, with distinct pale color pattern, legs relatively long, prementum and gonapophyses well developed. Saccoid caudal gills relatively long, with long terminal filaments (Fig. 3).	en	Yu, Xin (2026): Description of the final stadium larva of Priscagrion kiautai Zhou & Wilson (Zygoptera: Priscagrionidae). Zootaxa 5741 (1): 192-196, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5741.1.9, URL: https://doi.org/10.11646/zootaxa.5741.1.9
98582A2C0702FFC7FF1C8170FF42FA9B.taxon	description	Head. Relatively broad, pentagonal, about one and a half as broad as long, with very developed prementum which can be seen in dorsal view. Antennae 7 - segmented, relatively long and slim, segment 3 longer than other segments, segments (1 – 7) proportion 1: 2.3: 2.7: 1.9: 1.3: 0.7: 0.5 (Fig. 3 a). Prementum trapezoidal, moderately elongate, with many strong short setae on both margins, ligula with very short middle crack (Fig. 4 a). Labial palpi moderately robust without setae, ending in three short hooks with the central one at least twice as long as the other two; movable hook long, robust and incurved (Fig. 4 a). Mandibles (Fig. 5): molar crest moderately developed, with formula (Watson 1956): R 1 ’ 1234 y ab, 1 <2 <3 <4, b> a (Fig. 5 a, e), L 1 ’ 1234 a (m 1,2) b, 1 <2 <4 <3, a> b (Fig. 5 b, f). Maxilla (Figs. 5 c, d, g, h) longer than broad, covered with long hairs; galea and lacinia partly fused; galeo-lacinia in dorsal view (Figs. 5 c, d), terminating in four long sharp spines forming a curved, inward-directed, pitchfork-like structure; in ventral view (Figs. 5 g, h), three short strong tooth nested at base of the longest spine; palp (Figs. 5 c, d) with short basal segment and a single long banana-shaped terminal segment, not reaching to distal spines on galeo-lacinia, covered with dense long setae. Thorax. Prothorax narrower than both head and pterothorax; meso- and metathorax almost rectangular in shape. Legs very long (i. e. hind legs, when fully extended, reaching the basal half of lateral gills), without any hairs, mostly pale yellow except femora which are mostly dark brown, tarsus three segmented. Wing sheaths parallel, narrow and long, reaching the end of S 6. Abdomen. Slender, moderately elongate. Gonapophyses well developed, beyond S 10 obviously (i. e. reach the basal ¼ of the caudal gills). Caudal gill rectangular pyramid shaped, dark brown except the pale base and apex (Fig. 4 b – e), central gill a little shorter than laterals, their surface covered with short sparse hairs, upper ridge and caudal filament on each gill covered with abundant, long, pale hairs. Measurements (mm, n = 3). Total body length (including caudal gills) 22.6 – 26.5.	en	Yu, Xin (2026): Description of the final stadium larva of Priscagrion kiautai Zhou & Wilson (Zygoptera: Priscagrionidae). 98582A2C0702FFC7FF1C8170FF42FA9B.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis Generally the larva of P. kiautai is very alike to those of Bayadera Selys. However, larvae of Priscagrion have no abdomen gills and have relatively long legs. The larva is also similar to those of Rhipidolestes Ris but can be separated by the relatively long abdomen and legs, and the much developed prementum. Again, the larva is similar to Philoganga robusta Navás but can be separated by the definitely smaller body size and the well developed terminal filament on the tip of caudal gill.	en	Yu, Xin (2026): Description of the final stadium larva of Priscagrion kiautai Zhou & Wilson (Zygoptera: Priscagrionidae). 98582A2C0702FFC7FF1C8170FF42FA9B.taxon	biology_ecology	Microhabitat and behaviour Larvae were found in a narrow, stony, slowly running, clean montane brook, covered with dense vegetation (Fig. 1). They are usually under big stones, and stay put when disturbed and are therefore not difficult to catch. At the same site also adults and larvae of Bayadera melanopteryx Ris, Megalestes distans Needham and Davidius fruhstorferi Martin were found.	en	Yu, Xin (2026): Description of the final stadium larva of Priscagrion kiautai Zhou & Wilson (Zygoptera: Priscagrionidae).
