Pronotum and exposed mesonotum black, densely speckled with yellow spots, scutellum with more extensive yellow coloration compared to scutum; pronotum with a continuous arcuate pale yellow band along the lateral and anterior margins (Fig. 1a). Forewing dark brown with broad hyaline band subapically, veins spotted with black and yellow alternately (Figs 1a, b).

Male genitalia. Pygofer side broad, subtriangular in lateral view, with slender pygofer ventral appendage extending beyond pygofer apex, with several long macrosetae near caudal margin (Figs 2a, b). Valve with posterior margin rounded, about 2.6× as wide as long medially (Fig. 2e). Subgenital plate with broad base and tapering towards apex, length about 2.7× as long as wide at base, basal lateral margins with irregularly arranged slender elongate setae (Figs 2b, e). Style with well-developed subapical lobe, apophysis long and straight, finger-like, transversely striate (Figs 2c, d). Connective Y-shaped, stem robust, longer than arms, apex truncate (Figs 2f, g). In D. vilbastei, the connective stem is about 2× longer than the arms; the aedeagal shaft lacks processes on the dorsal side, but has a small triangular projection between the shaft and dorsal apodeme in lateral view.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the combination of the Latin words “digitus” and “lamellatus”, referring to the aedeagal shaft with a pair of digitate processes and a pair of lamellate processes.

DNA barcode.
