Gender: feminine.

Diagnosis: Pereonites 1–3 dorsally no teeth, carinae starting pereonite 3. Antenna 1: peduncular article 1 longer than 2. Mouthparts projecting conically. Labrum wider than long. Mandibular incisor ordinary, toothed; raker row long; blunt, simple. Lower lip (hypopharynx): inner lobes absent. Maxilla 1: palp 2-articulate, article 2 ordinary. Maxilla 2: inner plate without facial row of setae. Maxilliped: inner plate shorter and narrower than outer plate; palp article 2 narrow, not produced; palp article 4 well developed. Coxa 2 shorter than coxa 1; coxa 4 long. Gnathopods 1 and 2 alike, articles 5–6 elongate, narrow; both gnathopods simple. Telson broad, entire.

Remarks.

The establishment of a new genus is warranted to the character combination of coxa 2 being shorter than coxa 1, smooth first pereonite and a non produced maxillipedal palp.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/8622DE56360FF32BE692BFDE1A04F8D8	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. Pereonites 5–7 mid lateral process pointing posteriorly.

Pleonites 1–3 with dorsal carinae, those of pleonites 1–2 similar in shape and length to that of pereonite 7, longer and stronger than on pereonites 1–6. Dorsal process on pleonite 3 shorter, wider. Epimera 1 rounded, Epimera 2–3 with pointed posterolateral processes.

Urosomite 1 with strong dorsal process, urosomite 2 shortest; urosomite 3 posteriorly excavate, posterodorsally angular.

Antenna 1 (Figs 6, 9d). Peduncular article 1 longest, expanded, distally ending in 2 long, pointed process; article 2 running out into 1 massive long pointed process, exceeding length of third peduncular and first flagellar articles; article 3 shorter than 2; 18 flagellar articles present.

Antenna 2 (Fig. 6). Articles 2 of peduncle with two blunt processes,; article 4 about the length of articles 1–3 combined, with short process distally; article 5 longest, narrow; flagellum of 23 articles.

Labrum (Fig. 6). Uper lip wider than long, apically rounded with shallow notch.

Mandible (Figs 6, 9a). Mandibular body slender, pars molaris absent, setal row consisting of serrate setae, incisor dentate, five teeth, left lacinia mobilis dentate, six teeth, and wide; right lacinia mobilis spine-like; palp article 1 stout; article 2 longest; article 3 slender, slightly curved ventrally, 12 long setae on ventral margin, 3 setae on terminal tip.

Lower Lip (Fig 6). Hypopharyngeal process rather wide; lobe mediodistal rounded, few setae on margin.

Maxilla 1 (Figs 6, 9b). Inner lobe narrow, with 4 long setae; outer lobe oblique, with 12 medially serrate setae; palp 2-articulate, 2nd article about twice as long as article 1, with 4 stout setae apically.

Maxilla 2 (Fig. 6). Outer plate slightly wider than inner, long apical setae apicomedially denticulate.

Maxilliped (Figs 6, 9c). Inner plate narrow, with short apical setae and with row of setae along medial anterior margin; outer plate with few relatively short setae on distal and medial margin; palp 4-articulate, slender, with few setae, distal margin of article 2 not reaching distal end of outer plate.

Gnathopod 1 (Figs. 7, 9e).
