(2006) and Fent and Aktaç (2009) recorded this species from Adana, Antalya, Çorum, Edirne, Gaziantep, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Karaman, Kayseri, Konya, Manisa, Mersin, Osmaniye, and Tekirdağ as Ochetostethus nanus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1834). However, O. nanus does not occur in Turkey; it is distributed only in the southwestern parts of the Mediterranean area, i.e. in Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain (Lis, 2006).
