5E0C87EEFFE3FF9FFF2EFF7935CAFD0E.taxon	etymology	Etymology. The genus name derived from the Latin words “ Duplex ” and “ furcus ”, referring to the paramere posteromesal and aedeagus shaft with apically processes. Gender: feminine.	en	Ding, Yan, Yao, Qinping, Yang, Maofa, Yu, Xiaofei (2026): A new genus and two new species of Empoascini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae) from China. 5E0C87EEFFE3FF9FFF2EFF7935CAFD0E.taxon	discussion	Discussion. The new genus is similar to Baguoidea Mahmood, Dayus Mahmood, Dunioa Dworakowska, Dialecticopteryx Kirkaldy, Goifa Dworakowska, Homa Distant, Ifugoa Dworakowska & Pawar, Treufalka Qin & Zhang, Ventriappendix Ding, Yu & Yang and Usharia Dworakowska based on the following characters: (1) vein CuA of hindwing unbranched (Fig. 6); (2) ventral abdominal apodemes well developed (Fig. 7) (Homa male with abdominal apodemes reduced); (3) connective fused with base of aedeagus (Figs 14, 15). Nevertheless, the new genus differs from these genera in the following distinctive characters: (1) subgenital plate with A-group setae absent (Fig. 12); (2) ventral pygofer appendage absent (present in Baguoidea, Dayus, Ifugoa, Treufalka, Ventriappendix and in some Usharia species); (3) all apical veins of forewing dissociated at their bases and originating from m cell (Fig. 5) (veins RP and MP’ fused forming stalked base in Baguoidea, Dayus, Dunioa, Dialecticopteryx, Goifa and Ventriappendix; in Ifugoa, Treufalka and Usharia veins RP arising from r cell); (4) C-group apex setae of subgenital plate arranged in two rows (Fig. 12) (Baguoidea C-group with a conspicuous cluster of setae, Goifa without C-group setae). Furthermore, this new genus is unique in its distinct paramere (Figs 13, 14).	en	Ding, Yan, Yao, Qinping, Yang, Maofa, Yu, Xiaofei (2026): A new genus and two new species of Empoascini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae) from China. The new species is similar to Ishiharella dentidensa Yu & Yang, 2015, mainly in basal having a branched style apophysis but the new species differs from the latter in following distinctive characters: (1) ventral pygofer appendage present (other known species of this genus lack ventral pygofer appendages); (2) paramere without median dorsal process; (3) anal tube process base straight, slightly curved near apex (sinuate in Ishiharella dentidensa); (4) pygofer flattened caudoventrally (folded inwards in Ishiharella dentidensa).	en	Ding, Yan, Yao, Qinping, Yang, Maofa, Yu, Xiaofei (2026): A new genus and two new species of Empoascini (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae) from China.
