In my American catalogue I gave “ Bolivia (Bridges) ” as a locality for some examples of this Synallaxis. Brazil. It is easily distinguishablefrom its congeners by the extension of the rufous head over the front, and the slight yellowish stripe behind the eye, which separates the rufous cap from the dark cinereous sides of the head.	en	Sclater, Philip Lutley, M. They belong to this species. lium marginibus externe rufescentibus long. tota 6, ale 2 - 2, caudae rectr. med. 2 - 8, ext. 1 - 8. Hab. Rio Negro of Patagonia (D’ Orb. et Hudson). This is a peculiar species, with the tail (comparatively) short, and the rectrices broad and rounded at their ends. I have compared Mr. Hudson’s skins with D’Orbigny’s typical specimens.	en	Sclater, Philip Lutley, M. A.
