322887BBFFACFFCACEF7F96B4388F809.taxon	discussion	Notes: — Volvopluteus longipes shares similar morphology with V. asiaticus, V. delicious, V. gloiocephalus, and V. michiganensis by their medium to large-sized basidiomata, white to greyish white pileus, white stipe, and membranous volva. However, V. asiaticus is distinguished by its shorter stipe (85 – 100 mm) and smaller basidiospores (12 – 14.5 × 7.0 – 8.5 μm). V. delicious can be differentiated by its thicker stipe (up to 27 mm) and variable-shaped pleurocystidia. V. gloiocephalus is notable for its unpleasant or raphanoid odour and taste. Volvopluteus michiganensis is characterized by its smaller basidiospores (10.5 – 13.5 × 6.5 – 8.0 μm) and readily observable pleurocystidia.
