This species can be distinguished from all other species in the inflativena group by the following characters: wing with 3 anterior dark spots; hind femur dark brown with narrow subapical pale band; males with each paramere bifurcate with straight laterally-directed projections distally; females with functional spermathecae unequal in size.</p><p>Description. Female. (Fig. 1A) Habitus 1.81–1.95 (1.88, n=6) mm in length, body dark brown. Head brown, P/H 0.51–0.56 (0.53, n=4). Eyes contiguous, bare. Antenna brown with scape and pedicel dark brown, flagellum length 0.63–0.69 (0.66, n=5) mm, flagellomeres 9–13 significantly prolonged, AR 1.11–1.16 (1.14, n=5). Three bristles present on the inner side of antennal sclerite. Palpus light brown with the 5 th segment slightly darker; the 3 rd segment 40–48 (44, n=4) μm long, PR 2.27–2.14 (2.11, n=4), with a round sensory pit on the proximal half. Mandible with 9–11 teeth. Thorax dark brown, except for scutellum lighter laterally. Scutellum with 4 large bristles along the posterior margin. Wings (Fig. 2A) with 3 anterior dark spots and posterior irregular spots, a bluish brown spot present at apex of vein M 1, a light bluish brown foggy spot cover at vein A subapically, blisterlike swelling near base of vein M light brown; macrotrichia sparse, present along costal vein. Wing length 1.07–1.09 (1.08, n=4) mm, width 0.41–0.43 (0.42, n=4) mm, CR 0.80–0.82 (0.81, n=4). Halter pale. Legs (Fig. 3D–F) with coxae dark brown; fore- and midtrochanters brown, hind trochanter dark brown; fore- and midlegs with femora and tibiae largely brown except for darker apices of femora and pale knees; hind femur and hind tibia dark brown except for subapical pale band on femur, knee dark; all tarsi yellowish white. Hind tibia strongly thickened, the thickest point about 3 times as broad as the thickest point of midtibia. Tarsal spines: foretarsomere Ⅰ with 1 basal, 1 apical, II 1 apical, III 1 apical, IV 0 apical; midtarsomere Ⅰ with 10–12 spines, II 2 apical, III 2 apical, IV 0 apical; hind tarsomere (Fig. 3B) Ⅰ with 1 basal tiny, 1 apical spine; II 1 apical, III 1 apical, IV 0 apical spines, 2 ventral bristles. Hind tibial comb with 8 spines. TR 1 1.93–2.24 (2.08, n=4), TR 2 2.48–2.70 (2.60, n=4), TR 3 1.97–2.01 (1.99, n=4). Fore- and midclaws divided, equal sized, with small inner tooth and outer tooth, hind claws single, long, with a stout basal tooth. Abdomen (Fig. 3A) brown. Posterior margin of sternite 8 shallowly concave. Two functional spermathecae unequal in size, slightly longer than wide, with short neck, measuring 102–115 (109, n=4) μm by 73–88 (81, n=4) μm and 81–87 (84, n=4) μm by 67–72 (70, n=4) μm; small vestigial spermatheca present.</p><p>Male (Fig. 1B). Habitus 1.72–2.06 (1.89, n=2) mm in length. Generally similar to female, differs as follows: antenna flagellomeres 1–10 lighter colored than females, with yellowish-brown plumose hairs near the base; flagellomeres 11–13 obviously prolonged. Wing (Fig. 2B) length 0.99–1.04 (1.01, n=2) mm, width 0.32–0.34 (0.33, n=2) mm, CR 0.73–0.77 (0.75, n=2); three anterior dark spots similar but distal two much smaller than in females. Foretarsomere Ⅰ without or just with single spine at middle; hind tarsomere (Fig. 3C) II with 2 apical, III 0 apical spines, IV without ventral bristles. Genitalia as in Fig. 4A. Sternite 9 (Fig. 4B) wide at base, tapering towards posterior margin. Tergite 9 broad at base, tapering posteriorly, posterior margin truncate medially, with two well-developed apicolateral projections emerging from deep submedial concavities. Gonocoxite slightly thickened at base. Gonostylus is almost straight, about 0.8 times as long as gonocoxite, apex blunt. Aedeagus (Fig. 4C) broad at base, tapering, bifurcate distally with pointed apices, with one lateral projection on each outer margin. Parameres (Fig. 4D) connected at base, separating about 1/3 from base, basal arms short, each apex bent laterally at nearly 90°.</p><p>Type materials. Holotype male. The name hamata refers to the hook shaped lateral projections of the parameres.</p><p>Remarks. This new species closely resembles A. annulata Yu &amp; Yan, and A. forceps Li &amp; Wu, sp. nov. in colorations of wings and legs. The male of A. hamata can be distinguished from the latter two species by its bifurcate aedeagus with one lateral projection on each outer margin and parameres with apices nearly bent laterally at nearly 90°, whereas aedeagus of A. annulata is not separated apically and with no laterally projection, and apices of parameres of A. forceps strongly curved. This species can be distinguished from all other species in the inflativena group by the following characters: wing with 3 anterior dark spots; hind femur dark brown with narrow subapical pale area; females with functional spermathecae subequal, swollen near neck; males with gonostylus short and strongly curved, aedeagus with long and curved lateral branches at base.</p><p>Description. Female. (Fig. 1C) Habitus 1.58–1.74 (1.66, n=4) mm in length.</p><p>Head brown. P/H 0.51–0.58 (0.56, n=4). Eyes contiguous, bare. Antenna brown with scape and pedicel slightly darker, flagellum 0.58–0.62 (0.60, n=5) mm in length, AR 1.06–1.20 (1.11, n=5). Three or four bristles on the inner side of antennal sclerite. Palpus light brown with the 5 th palpomere slightly darker; the 3 rd segment 50–54 (53, n=5) μm in length, PR 2.48–2.70 (2.57, n=5), with a small rounded sensory pit at the proximal part. Mandible with 8–9 teeth. Thorax dark brown, except for scutellum brown laterally. Scutellum with 4 large bristles along the posterior margin. Wings (Fig. 2C) with 3 anterior dark spots and posterior irregular spots, a bluish brown spot present on apex of vein M 1, blisterlike swelling at base of vein M pale or light brown; macrotrichia sparse, present along costa vein. Wing length 0.90–1.06 (0.96, n=5) mm, width 0.35–0.41 (0.37, n=5) mm, CR 0.73–0.82 (0.81, n=5). Halter pale. Legs (Fig. 5D–F) with all coxae dark brown; foretrochanter brown, mid- and hind trochanters dark brown; forefemur and foretibia brown except for subapical pale band and dark apex on femur and pale knee; midfemur and midtibia brown except for pale knee; hind femur dark brown with subapical narrow pale area, hind tibia dark brown and knee dark; all tarsi yellowish white; hind tibia strongly thickened, thickest point about 3 times as broad as thickest point of midtibia. Tarsal spines: foretarsomere Ⅰ with 1 basal, 1 apical, II 1 apical, III 1 apical, IV 0 apical; midtarsomere Ⅰ with 11–13 spines, II 2 apical, III 2 apical, IV 0 apical; hind tarsomere (Fig. 5B) Ⅰ with 1 basal, 1 apical; II 1 apical, III 1 apical, IV 0 apical, 2 ventral bristles. Hind tibial comb with 8 spines. TR 1 2.03–2.36 (2.21, n=5), TR 2 2.39–2.67 (2.49, n=5), TR 3 2.07–2.34 (2.2, n=5). Fore- and midclaws divided equal sized, with inner and outer tooth, hind claws single, long, with stout basal tooth. Abdomen brown (Fig. 5A). Posterior margin of sternite 8 concave. Two subequal spermathecae, somewhat swollen near base of neck, measuring 59–70 (65, n=5) μm by 44–52 (47, n=5) μm and 59–69 (65, n=5) μm by 53–66 (60, n=5) μm, with short neck; small vestigial spermatheca present.</p><p>Male (Fig. 1D) body dark brown. Habitus 1.63 mm in length. Generally similar to female, differs as follows: antenna flagellomeres 1–10 light brown, with yellow plumose hairs near the base, flagellomeres 11–13 brown, prolonged conspicuously. Wing (Fig. 2D) length 0.86 mm, width 0.27 mm, CR 0.73; irregular spots on the apical of vein M 1 and M 2 and pale spot in cell m 4 are fuzzier than females. Foretarsomere Ⅰ with 0–1 basal spine; Hind tarsomere (Fig. 5C) Ⅰ without basal spines and II with 2 apical spines. Genitalia as in Fig. 6A. Sternite 9 (Fig. 6B) slightly convex at posterior margin. The posterior margin of tergite 9 is moderately curved, with well-developed apicolateral projections. Gonocoxite elongated, gonostylus short, about 0.5 times as long as gonocoxite, strongly curved, apex pointed. Aedeagus (Fig. 6C) broad with 2 long and curved lateral arms at base, strongly narrowed and divided into two slim and long branches at about 1/2 from base. Parameres (Fig. 6D) with an elongate basal arm, narrowly connected, two branches strongly recurved distally.</p><p>Type materials. Holotype male. The name forceps refers to the pincer-shaped aedeagus.</p><p>Remarks.The colorations of wings and legs of this new species closely resembles last new species A. hamata Li &amp;Wu and A. annulata Yu. The differences with A. hamata could be seen in the last remarks of A. hamata . This new species can be easily distinguished from other species of the inflativena group by the following characters: dark patches of wing beneath vein M 1 inconspicuous; hind femur uniformly dark brown; the functional spermathecae of females with elongated and thin neck.</p><p>Description. Female. (Fig. 1E) Habitus 1.56–1.67 (1.62, n=2) mm in length.</p><p>Head brown, P/H 0.52. Eyes contiguous, bare. Antenna brown with scape and pedicel dark brown, flagellum 0.57 mm in length, AR 1.14, flagellomeres 9–13 significantly prolonged. Two bristles on the inner side of antennal sclerite. Palpus brown; the 3 rd segment 27 μm long, PR 1.15, stout, with a small rounded sensory pit at the proximal part. Mandible with 8 teeth. Thorax uniformly dark brown dorsally. Scutellum with 4 large bristles along the posterior margin. Wings (Fig. 2E) light brown, with 3 distinct anterior brown spots but posterior spots indistinct, dark area in cell m 1, m 2 and m 4 inconspicuous, blisterlike swelling at base of vein M brown; macrotrichia sparse, present along costal vein. Wing length 0.97 mm, width 0.38 mm, CR 0.76. Halter pale. Legs (Fig. 7D–F) with all coxae dark brown; foretrochanters brown, mid- and hind trochanters dark brown; fore- and midlegs with femora and tibiae brown except for midknee pale; hind leg with femur and tibia uniformly dark brown; all tarsi yellowish white. The thickest point of hind tibia is about 2.2 times as broad as the thickest point of midtibia. Tarsal spines: foretarsomere Ⅰ with 1 basal, 1 apical, II 1 apical, III 0 apical, IV 0 apical; midtarsomere Ⅰ with 11 spines, II 2 apical, III 2 apical, IV 0 apical; hind tarsomere (Fig. 7B) Ⅰ with 1 basal, 1 apical, II 1 apical, III 1 apical, IV 1 apical. Hind tibial comb with 8 spines. TR 1 2.38, TR 2 2.49, TR 3 2.49. Fore- and midclaws symmetrical, with small inner and outer teeth, hind claws single, long, with stout basal tooth. Abdomen (Fig. 7A) brown. Posterior margin of sternite 8 shallowly concave. Two subequal spermathecae, measuring 76 μm by 58 μm and 72 μm by 53 μm, with very elongated, thin necks, almost as long as the body of the spermatheca; small vestigial spermatheca present.</p><p>Male (Fig. 1F). Habitus 1.72–1.88 (1.82, n=3) mm in length. Generally similar to female, differs as follows: antenna flagellomeres 1–10 light brown, with yellowish-brown plumose hairs near the base, flagellomeres 11–13 obviously prolonged. Wing (Fig. 2F) length 0.87–0.93 (0.91, n=3) mm, width 0.3–0.32 (0.31, n=3) mm, CR 0.71– 0.72 (0.71, n=3). Midtarsomere Ⅰ with 9 spines; hind tarsomere (Fig. 7C) II with 2 apical, III and IV without apical spines. Hind tibial comb with 6 spines. Hind claws shorter than females. Genitalia as in fig. 8A. Tergite 9 (Fig. 8B) slightly convex of the posterior margin, with well-developed apicolateral projections. Gonocoxite short and stout. Gonostylus slender, about 0.7 times as long as gonocoxite bearing several minute setae. Aedeagus (Fig. 8C) broad at base, smoothly tapering, emarginated centrally towards dorsal side, bidivided apically and wrinkled inner side. Parameres (Fig. 8D) connected, with a narrow bridge near base, bidivided at 1/2 part from base.</p><p>Type materials. Holotype male. The word lurida means pallid, refers to the inconspicuous spots on the posterior margin of the wings.</p><p>Remarks.
