2138879EFFB6FFE1FE6D7A21ADD2F938.taxon	description	Notes. These specimens represent the first record for this species for the state of Nuevo León with collected specimens, as previous records from Tamaulipas were made using only citizen science observations (RodrÍguez-Rojas et al. 2025). These are the northernmost records for the species. The intestinal contents of the single specimen of T. dimidiata from Monterrey (LESPNL-CAIM: HEM / 00003) tested positive for T. cruzi (Fig. 3).	en	León-Espinosa, Gisela Aramiriam, González-Reyes, Mario Octavio, Huerta, Herón, de Luna, Manuel (2025): Confirmation of presence and new record of two species of kissing bugs of the genus Triatoma Laporte, 1832 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae) for northeastern Mexico. 2138879EFFB7FFE5FE1B7E4BAC02FE09.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. Female. First antennal segment extending beyond level of apex of clypeus. Corium largely yellowish white, narrowly orange at base and black at apex and with numerous short decumbent or adpressed setae. Basal half of clavus is dark, the apical half is yellowish white. Hemelytra of females not quite attaining posterior margin of urotergite VI (Rengifo-Correa et al. 2021). Confirmation records. Mexico, Nuevo León, BahÍa Escondida, Santiago; 25 ° 25 ’ 39.3 ’’ N, 100 ° 07 ’ 24.3 ’’ W, 448 m, 3. XI. 2019; Roberto GarcÍa Barrios, 1 female, collected at daytime beneath rubble (FCF-HEMIP 051). Notes. This record is the first report of the species for the state of Nuevo León with collected specimens and is the northernmost distribution in the country. There is an additional observation of this species in the platform iNaturalist (2025) for the municipality of Vallecillo in Nuevo León, mentioned in RodrÍguez-Rojas et al. (2025); however, attempts at corroborating this were unsuccessful.	en	León-Espinosa, Gisela Aramiriam, González-Reyes, Mario Octavio, Huerta, Herón, de Luna, Manuel (2025): Confirmation of presence and new record of two species of kissing bugs of the genus Triatoma Laporte, 1832 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae) for northeastern Mexico. 2138879EFFB7FFE5FE1B7E4BAC02FE09.taxon	description	Knowing the identity and distribution of kissing bugs in each region is a key component for the development of control and surveillance strategies (Ramsey and Schofield 2003; Abad-Franch et al. 2005; de Paiva et al. 2022). Added to that is the need for the implementation of public health programs that could bring attention to Chagas disease and its vectors (Molina-Garza et al. 2007; Ramsey et al. 2003). All of this is of special concern in an understudied area such as northeastern Mexico (MartÍnez-Tovar et al. 2013).	en	León-Espinosa, Gisela Aramiriam, González-Reyes, Mario Octavio, Huerta, Herón, de Luna, Manuel (2025): Confirmation of presence and new record of two species of kissing bugs of the genus Triatoma Laporte, 1832 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae) for northeastern Mexico.
