Molar morphology is characterised by high, well-developed cusps and low ridges (lophs and lophids). M 1 has a divided anterocone; low ectolophs are present on M 1 and M 2. The m 1 exhibits a low cuspid anteroconid and a pointed anterior margin.

Differential diagnosis.

Dekamyarion differs from Eumyarion in having molars with more slender cusps and lower ridges; notably, it lacks transverse ridges such as the long mesoloph and anteromesoloph (anterior arm of the protocone) on M 1 and M 2, and the corresponding lophids on the lower molars. Although molar morphology of Dekamyarion may resemble that of Atavocricetodon and Eucricetodon, these genera differ in incisor enamel microstructure: Atavocricetodon shows K 1, Eucricetodon K 4, whereas Dekamyarion is characterised by K 10. In addition, both Dekamyarion species at the type locality Gözükızıllı have low ectolophs on M 1 and M 2.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/BBFA7F9D511D545CB5B20886A6978D23	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
