Body fusiform, prodorsal shield with frontal lobe, scapular tubercles ahead of rear shield margin, scapular setae directed centrad and posterior; femoral and tibial setae on leg I absent, empodium entire; opisthosoma with all usual setae, dorsal opisthosoma with 6 slight ridges, with triangular microtubercles on ridges, bearing waxy; all coxal setae present.

Etymology. The generic designation is derived from the combination of Para and Callyntrotus (Nalepa, 1894), to which the new genus is the most morphologically similar, gender masculine.

Remarks. The new taxon is assigned to Eriophyoidea, Eriophyidae, Phyllocoptinae, Phyllocoptini. The new genus is similar to Callyntrotus Nalepa 1894 by sharing opisthosoma with 6 slight ridges and scapular setae directed centrad and posteriorly. However, it can be distinguished by both tibial and femoral setae absent from leg I (tibial and femoral setae present on leg I in Callyntrotus).

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/090687D0FFDFFFCCFF2AA796FD33232B	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
