065587E18961D23EDCDF8ECEFEFF71CF.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. Larger size, two hundred percent bigger than type species H. rolfi; dark body without bright-coloured pigments patches; round head, slightly tapering forward; eyes small, not bulging from head; antenna attached to head between eye and base of mandible, scape dilated, pedicel short; mandibles large, robust, markedly curved ventrad, each with 2 terebral teeth; width of basal area (BW) 0.27 of total length (TL), resemble the type species in proportion (0.24 for the type, H. rolfi); incisor tooth length (IL) 0.73 of TL; rod-like maxillary palp short, contrary to the type, H. rolfi; pronotum is similar to H. rolfi, nearly square and parallel on both sides; ambulatory legs long, tarsus with claws and setal pads; tarsomeres of prothoracic legs broader than in the type, H. rolfi.	en	Xia, Qihao, Jarzembowski, Edmund A., Xiao, Chuantao, Cheng, Hao, Song, Zhenyu (2026): A new tiger beetle species (Coleoptera, Adephaga, Cicindelidae) from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar. 065587E18961D23EDCDF8ECEFEFF71CF.taxon	description	Description. The specimen is latericumbent in the amber piece, with the front part of the body bent downwards, junction of the pronotum and elytra exposed, one mesothoracic leg and one metathoracic leg lost, posterior part of abdomen worn (Fig. 1). Dark coloured, lacking bright pigment areas and metallic sheen. Medium size beetle, preserved specimen length 17.64 mm (from the anterior end of the mandibles to the preserved abdomen), estimated complete length may exceed 20 mm. Head: roughly round, slightly tapering forward and narrower than pronotum, length 5.40 mm (including mandibles), about a quarter of body length, maximum width 4.25 mm. Eyes not large, not bulging from head. Antenna filiform and meandering, inserted at anterior margin of eyes; scape (first antennal segment) dilated and long, pedicel short and small. Mandibles large, robust, markedly curved ventrad, each with 2 terebral teeth; total length (TL) 2.61 mm, width of basal area (BW) 0.70 mm, 0.27 of TL, incisor tooth length (IL) 1.82 mm, 0.73 of TL. Maxillary palp short and rod-like, length 1.26 mm, with two segments, and the visible palpomere with no less than 6 setae. Thorax: elongated, slightly wider than head and narrower than elytra. Pronotum subtrapezoidal, length 5.34 mm, maximum width 3.93 mm, widened and then narrowed backwards (Fig. 1). Prothoracic leg length 13.32 mm, ambulatory, coxa and trochanter glabrous, femur thick, length 4.12 mm; tibia slender, covered with setae, length 3.01 mm, with 2 tibial spurs (longest 0.85 mm); protarsus five-segmented, covered by setal pads, each tarsomere broadened distally and laterally; 2 widely spaced monodactylic claws present (Fig. 2, 3). Posterior body: mesothoracic leg length 17.51 mm, ambulatory, slender, longer than mesothoracic leg, slightly shorter than body length; femur length 4.95 mm, tapering distally; tibia slender, length 4.74 mm, with 2 apical spurs (longest 1.14 mm); tarsus five-segmented, densely setose, basitarsus thickest and longest, fourth tarsomere shortest; 2 symmetrical monodactylic claws present. Elytra elongate, with rounded obtuse-angulated shoulders, preserved length 11.47 mm.	en	Xia, Qihao, Jarzembowski, Edmund A., Xiao, Chuantao, Cheng, Hao, Song, Zhenyu (2026): A new tiger beetle species (Coleoptera, Adephaga, Cicindelidae) from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar.
