03B8879FFFB4FFBEAED6A16EDA4FF865.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species is similar to I. hainanensis Yuan, 2002, but differs from the latter as follows: (1) suprahumeral horns extended horizontally (extended dorsolaterally in I. hainanensis); (2) forewing surface without hairlike setae in basal half (surface with hairlike setae in I. hainanensis); (3) forewing pale brown, anal angle with a transparent area small; veins dark (yellowish-brown, the anal angle with triangular transparent band; veins Sc, R, M dark, the rest yellow in I. hainanensis); (4) posterior pronotal process with relatively gentle undulations (undulations slightly larger in I. hainanensis).	en	Li, Fenge, Long, Jiankun, Chang, Zhimin, Chen, Xiangsheng, Yang, Lin (2026): Review of the genus Indicopleustes Distant, 1908 (Hemiptera, Membracidae, Centrotinae) with description of a new species from China. 03B8879FFFBBFFBDAED6A144D965FE32.taxon	discussion	Note. The present interpretation of the species is based on photographs of the specimens provided by The University Museum, The University of Tokyo and illustrations from Kato (1928). Initially placed by Kato in Formocentrus in 1928, the species was transferred to Sipylus later that year (Kato, 1928; Funkhouser, 1943). Following further study, it was eventually placed in Indicopleustes (Yuan & Chou, 2002; Dmitriev, 2022). During this period, the species was recorded by Esaki (1932), with illustrations included in the publication. Subsequently, Metcalf and Wade (1965) incorrectly attributed Indicopleustes typicus to Esaki, 1932 rather than Kato, 1928, creating an objective homonymy and leading Dmitriev & Deitz (2017) to propose a replacement name, Indicopleustes esakii Dmitriev & Deitz, 2017. This name is a synonym of Indicopleustes typicus (Kato, 1928).	en	Li, Fenge, Long, Jiankun, Chang, Zhimin, Chen, Xiangsheng, Yang, Lin (2026): Review of the genus Indicopleustes Distant, 1908 (Hemiptera, Membracidae, Centrotinae) with description of a new species from China.
