03BB9167FFEDFFF77DE45AB9FE30D724.taxon	etymology	Etymology: — Although Daniel (1988) did not explicitly explain the meaning of the epithet, it is clear that it refers to the type locality, El Fuerte, municipal seat of the homonymous municipality. Conservation status: — It is proposed to include the species under the category VU (vulnerable) according to criterium D 2 of the IUCN (2024), this is recommended for species with a restricted area of occupancy or low number of known localities (≤ 5), together with a probability of being affected by threats in the short time. The two known localities of the species are severely deteriorated due to the technification of agriculture (El Fuerte) and temporary cattle grazing (Cosalá).	en	Millán-Otero, Manuel Guillermo, Resendez-Tapia, José Jesús, González-Gallegos, Jesus Guadalupe, González-Martínez, Oscar Carlos, Pío-León, Juan Fernando (2025): Rediscovery and a new locality of Carlowrightia fuertensis (Acanthaceae) after 115 years.
