03BF8794FFCFFF84FF79F90D09C1F8B2.taxon	diagnosis	Differential diagnosis. The new genus Lhasella Zhou, Da, Zahradník & Bai is placed in the subfamily Anobiinae based on its prognathous head and the structure of the aedeagus and antennae. In terms of body shape, it is similar to the tribe Stegobiini, including the genera Oligomerus Redtenbacher, 1849, Paroligomerus Logvinovskiy, 1979, and Neoligomerus Español, 1981. It differs from the vast majority of tribes in this subfamily by the absence of dotted grooves on the scutellar shield — an exception shared only with the tribe Gastrallini White, 1982, which nevertheless exhibits a markedly different body shape. Anobiinae usually have a bump or other structures (dents) on the scutellar shield to a greater or lesser extent. The arrangement of the antennae is completely atypical. Antennae of other species from this subfamily are typically filiform, often with three enlarged antennomeres. In some cases, the flagellum consists of weakly serrate antennomeres, e. g., in the tribe Hadrobregmini White, 1980. In other genera — usually those not included in the respective tribes — the flagellum may be more serrate. The last three antennomeres may occasionally comprise comb-like structures. A typical feature of the genus Lhasella Zhou, Da, Zahradník & Bai, gen. nov., is the enlargement and strong serration of the antennomeres V and VII (Fig. 1 e, f). The last three antennomeres are filiform and slightly longer than the rest of the antenna. The scutellar shield without dotted grooves (Fig. 1 g).	en	Zhou, Xuan, Pubu, Zhuoma, Zhang, Wei, Shen, Rongrong, Da, Wa, Gongga, Zhaxi, Zhaxi, Pingcuo, Bai, Ming (2025): Description of a new genus and species, Lhasella potala, from Xizang, China (Coleoptera: Ptinidae: Anobiinae).
