Lhasella potala Zhou, Da, Zahradník & Bai, sp. nov., by original designation.

Placement. Subfamily Anobiinae, tribe incertae sedis.

Etymology. Lhasella, gender feminine, refers to Lhasa, type locality of the new species.

Description. Body long oval, nearly parallel-sided (Figs 1a, 2a). Head (Figs 1a, d; 2a) semi-prognathous and transversely convex; eyes relatively large, globular, with sparse setae. Antennae (Fig. 2e, f) consisting of eleven antennomeres. Antennomere V and VII enlarged and more strongly serrate; the last three antennomeres are filiform, slightly longer than the rest of the antenna. Pronotum (Figs 1a, d; 2a) oval to subcircular, pronotal lateral margin mostly visible and dentate. Elytra (Figs 1a, 2a) parallel-sided, lacking distinct humeral angles; surface rough, densely punctate, and finely dotted in rows. Legs (Figs 1b, 2b) long and slim. Anterior coxae and mesocoxae (Figs 1b, 2b) closely spaced. Metacoxae (Figs 1b, 2b) slightly separated. Metaventrite (Figs 1b, 2b) with short longitudinal depression, posteriorly sharpened. Claws (Figs 1b, 2b) widely spaced, without bifurcation at apex. Abdomen (Figs 1b, 2b) with five ventrites, lacking a short blunt wide promontory in the middle. Aedeagus symmetrical (Fig. 1c). Ovipositor relatively long, gonostyloid apices slightly concave; styli small (Fig. 2c).

Differential diagnosis. The new genus Lhasella Zhou, Da, Zahradník & Bai is placed in the subfamily Anobiinae based on its prognathous head and the structure of the aedeagus and antennae. In terms of body shape, it is similar to the tribe Stegobiini, including the genera Oligomerus Redtenbacher, 1849, Paroligomerus Logvinovskiy, 1979, and Neoligomerus Español, 1981 . It differs from the vast majority of tribes in this subfamily by the absence of dotted grooves on the scutellar shield—an exception shared only with the tribe Gastrallini White, 1982, which nevertheless exhibits a markedly different body shape. Anobiinae usually have a bump or other structures (dents) on the scutellar shield to a greater or lesser extent. The arrangement of the antennae is completely atypical. Antennae of other species from this subfamily are typically filiform, often with three enlarged antennomeres. In some cases, the flagellum consists of weakly serrate antennomeres, e.g., in the tribe Hadrobregmini White, 1980 . In other genera— usually those not included in the respective tribes—the flagellum may be more serrate. The last three antennomeres may occasionally comprise comb-like structures.

A typical feature of the genus Lhasella Zhou, Da, Zahradník & Bai, gen. nov., is the enlargement and strong serration of the antennomeres V and VII (Fig. 1e, f). The last three antennomeres are filiform and slightly longer than the rest of the antenna. The scutellar shield without dotted grooves (Fig. 1g).

Distribution.
