Body black except first metasomal tergite fully and partially second metasomal tergite; labial and maxillary palps off-white; eyes grey; ocelli pale testaceous; region below clypeus yellow; mandibles yellow with apical margins dark. Antenna with scape and pedicel yellow; first 4 – 5 flagellomeres yellowish-brown remaining dark brown; tegula yellowish-brown. Fore and mid leg light yellow (except coxa, trochanter, trochantellus and tarsi yellow testaceous); hind leg with coxa black, trochanter and trochantellus yellow testaceous; hind femur distinctly bi-coloured, with distinct diagonal demarcation between the two coloured regions, almost apical half of hind femur dark brown, basal half yellowish-brown; hind tibia with sub-basal off white ring, extreme base and apical half dark brown; fore wing infuscated with brown apical patch (margins not defined), pterostigma dark brown; T 1 yellow testaceous, T 2 yellow testaceous laterally and on entire basal one fourth, distinct black spot medially adjoining third tergite, T 3 black. Head (Fig. 1 B). Head 0.84 × as long as wide, coarsely rugose punctate, with median longitudinal carina in dorsal half; eyes densely setose; face with sparse pilosity; antenna 1.27 × as long as body in profile view. Ocellar region smooth and shiny (Fig. 1 C). OOL: POL: OD 0.10: 0.22: 0.08. Mesosoma (Fig. 1 E). Mesosoma coarsely punctate and setose; punctations clear; scutellar sulcus with 10 costulae; scutellum coarsely punctate; mesopleuron rugose and punctate except for smooth glabrous median patch; metapleuron mostly punctate. Propodeum with strong medial longitudinal carina; coarsely punctate. Measurements: mesosoma in dorsal view 1.13 × as long as wide; hind femur 1.16: 0.29; hind tibia 1.29. Wings (Fig. 1 D). Fore wing dusky, with dark apical patch, 2.57 × as long as wide; areolet small, triangular, slit-like; pterostigma (length: height) 0.79: 0.28. Fore wing vein length measurements: r 0.34; 1 - R 1 0.88; M + CU 1 1.27; 2 - SR 0.19; 2 - M 0.14; 1 - CU 1: 2 - CU 1 0.23: 0.32; 1 - SR-M 0.65; 2 - SR-M 0.15; m-cu 0.2. Hind wing vein length measurements: 1 - M 0.63; M + CU 0.39. Metasoma (Fig. 1 F). T 1 0.56: 0.64, T 2 0.39: 0.67; T 3 0.48. Hind coxa 1.1, 1.96 × as long as T 1, distinctly punctate and pilose. Inner hind tibial spur length: hind basitarsus 0.47: 0.62, inner tibial spur 0.75 × as long as hind basitarsus. Hind coxa reaching beyond T 2. T 1 – T 3 forming carapace; T 1 1.15 × as wide as long, widening posteriorly, with median longitudinal groove, median groove diverging at apical margin and merging with apical margin respectively; distinct crenulae at T 1 apical and T 2 basal margin; T 2 median length 0.9 × as long as T 1, subequal to T 3 median length, T 2 slightly widening posteriorly, T 2 with median groove widest a little below middle; lateral fields of T 2 coarsely rugose with prominent longitudinal rugae converging towards centre of apical margin. T 2 and T 3 separated by deep crenulae at apical margin of T 2 which is distinctly convex medially. T 3 completely black, with smooth and shiny longitudinal groove; lateral sides with strong longitudinal striations converging towards centre of apical margin. Fore and mid leg light yellow brown; hind leg with coxa black, trochanter and trochantellus yellow testaceous; hind femur reddish brown except yellow basal tip, hind tibia bicolored, apical half dark brown and basal tip with a dark brown faint infuscation dorsally; hind tibial spurs yellow testaceous; fore wing uniformly infuscated without distinct patch, pterostigma dark brown; first metasomal tergite yellow testaceous, second metasomal tergite yellow except for dark brown spots adjacent to the centre at posterior margin of second tergite adjoining third tergite, remaining tergites dark brown; first three lateral sternites pale yellow to testaceous. Head (Fig. 2 B). Head 1.27 × as wide as long, coarsely rugose punctate, with median longitudinal carina in the centre; eyes densely setose; face with sparse pilosity; setae much denser around torular region and clypeal region; antenna 1.1 × as long as body in profile view. Ocellar region smooth, shiny, without prominent setae (Fig. 2 C). OOL: POL: OD- 0.14: 0.18: 0.08; compound eye (height in frontal view) 0.5. Mesosoma (Fig. 2 E). Mesosoma coarsely punctate and setose; scutellar sulcus with 10 costulae; scutellum coarsely punctate; mesopleuron rugose punctate. Propodeum with strong medial longitudinal carina; coarsely punctate. Measurements: mesosoma in dorsal view 1.14 as long as wide; hind femur 1.02: 0.28; hind tibia 1.13: 1.14. Wings (Fig. 2 D). Fore wing: dusky, 2.53 × as long as wide; areolet small, triangular; pterostigma (length: height) 0.68: 0.26. Fore wing vein length measurements: r 0.2; 1 - R 1 0.69; 2 - SR 0.16; 3 - SR 0.07, 2 M 0.11, r-m 0.06; M + CU 1 0.99; 1 - CU 1: 2 - CU 1 0.16: 0.23; 1 - SR-M 0.41; 2 - SR-M 0.17; m-cu 0.16. Hind wing vein length measurements: 1 - M 0.40; M + CU 0.35. Metasoma (Fig. 2 G). Hind coxa length 0.79, 2.3 as long as T 1, distinctly punctate with pilosity. Inner hind tibial spur length: hind basitarsus (0.50: 0.62). Hind coxa reaching a little beyond T 2. Metasoma. T 1 1.85 × as long as its apical width, widest preapically (Fig. 2 F), with median longitudinal groove not reaching apical margin; T 2 median length 1.58 × as long as T 1, with sub median oblique lateral sulci limited to the basal one third, median field in T 2 weak; ovipositor sheaths dark brown, 0.26 in length. This new species comes close to D. punctata (Rao & Chalikwar, 1976) in having weak median field however differs from the latter in having POL: OOL = 1.28; T 1 1.35 × as long as its maximum width (vs POL: OOL = 1.1; T 1 2.5 × as long as its maximum width in D. punctata). The new species differs from D. malabarensis Narendran & Sheeba, 2003 in the following set of characters: POL / OOL 1.28; T 1 1.85 × as long as its apical width and T 3 0.35 × as long as T 2 (vs ratio of POL / OOL 1.5; T 1 1.2 × as long as its apical width and T 3 subequal to T 2 in length in D. malabarensis); also differs from D. aurangabadensis in fore and mid coxa yellow in colour (vs black in D. aurangabadensis).	en	Gupta, Ankita, Sushil, S.
