0393C861FFFD053CFF379B35FAA0DDD7.taxon	description	body of adult female pyriform to subcircular, with prosoma membranous or sclerotized at maturity. Spiracles not associated with disc pores. Pygidium with 3 or 4 pairs of lobes, with fourth lobes represented by sclerotized points. Plates between lobes well developed and deeply fringed. Dorsal pygidial macroducts fairly long and slender, situated in intersegmental series between abdominal segments V ‒ VIII, and with 1 or more marginal ducts present between median lobes; shorter prepygidial macroducts present in submarginal segmental series on free abdominal segments. In this study, the adult females were slide mounted using the method described by Liu (2023) and were then identified using the keys and illustration in Moghaddam & Watson (2021) and the illustration in Danzig (1993: 157). Photographs of the slide-mounted specimens were captured using a Nikon ECLIPSE NiTM compound microscope and NIS-Elements Viewer 5.21 TM 64 - bit software. The taxonomic illustration provided was prepared from slide-mounted adult females using Adobe Illustrator CS 2025 and Photoshop CS 6 software. Morphological terms and the illustration layout follow Miller & Davidson (2005). Voucher specimens are deposited in the College of Agronomy, Xinjiang Agricultural University, Xinjiang, China (CAX), and in the Entomological Museum, Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University (NWAFU), Yangling, Shaaxi, China.	en	He, Yutong, Liu, Di (2026): First record of Dynaspidiotus ephedrarum (Lindinger, 1912) (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) in China. 0393C861FFFD053EFF3799F5FAACDAC0.taxon	description	Antennae unsegmented, each bearing 1 seta (Fig. 2 A). Spiracles without associated disc-pores (Fig. 2 B, D). Pygidial margin with 3 pairs of well-developed lobes. Plates with fringed apices (Fig. 2 F) present, each side usually with 1 between median lobes (L 1), 2 between L 1 and L 2, 2 ‒ 4 between L 2 and L 3, and 3 or 4 plates on margin between L 3 and position of L 4 (L 4 lobe not developed). Dorsum: each side of pygidium (Fig. 2 E) with 3 or 4 dorsal macroducts in poriferous furrow between L 1, 4 ‒ 8 between L 1 and L 2, 8 ‒ 13 between L 2 and L 3, and 7 ‒ 18 on each side of segment V. Each side of free prepygidial abdominal segments (I-IV) with 20 ‒ 26 submarginal macroducts on segment IV, 24 ‒ 33 on III, 22 ‒ 45 on II, and 23 ‒ 50 on segment I; segments II ‒ IV also with submedian dorsal macroducts in segmental single rows, with a total of 15 ‒ 28 submedian ducts on each side. Anal opening oval, slightly longer than L 1, located at 2.5 ‒ 3.5 times length of anal opening from bases of L 1. Venter: with microducts irregularly arranged on prosoma and margin of pygidium. Vulva situated just anterior to centre of pygidium. Perivulvar pores absent.	en	He, Yutong, Liu, Di (2026): First record of Dynaspidiotus ephedrarum (Lindinger, 1912) (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) in China. 0393C861FFFD053EFF3799F5FAACDAC0.taxon	biology_ecology	Host plant: Elsewhere, D. ephedrarum has been collected on host plants belonging to the genera Asparagus (Asparagaceae), Ephedra (Ephedraceae) and Pinus (Pinaceae) (García Morales et al. 2016). The material studied here was found on Ephedra sp. (Fig. 1). In China, D. ephedrarum is of no economic importance.	en	He, Yutong, Liu, Di (2026): First record of Dynaspidiotus ephedrarum (Lindinger, 1912) (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) in China.
