Subgenital plate short and broad.

Distribution and habitat: Know only from surrounding areas of Paposo (Fig. 1a) inhabiting on the top of the hills or in the foothills close to the beach in the coastal Atacama Desert between the 60–700 m asl. The habitat is characterized by the formation of Cactaceae of the genus Eulychnia and Copiapoa, as well as other shrubs (Fig. 1b and c). The soil is generally clayey at the top of the hills and/or clayey-sandy at the foothills where there are also alluvial fans. In general, both habitats are heavily covered by camanchaca and occasionally received winter rain.

Genotype: A fragment of 665 bp of the COI gene was obtained. The sequence is in Fasta format in the supplementary material 2.

Etymology: pasaptur means to kick in Kunza language of the Licanantay people, due to the characteristic behavior of living insects of jumping frantically, kicking the ground with the help of their strong femurs.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/0393A163100F301BFF744D78FAD3F89A	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
