The surface is smooth, with dense, fluffy, compact, and dry mycelia. In the lateral view, the colony is raised with a well-defined edge. From above, the colony is white to cream-colored. From below, the edge is pale yellow, the center is orange-yellow, and the core is brown. Yellow pigments are produced during cultivation.	en	Yang, Qing, Ren, Yu-Lin, Liu, Li-Li, Lu, Chang-Tao, Wijayawardene, Nalin N., Haituk, Sukanya, Li, Qi-Rui, Cheewangkoon, Ratchadawan (2025): Amphisphaeria guizhouensis sp. nov. 03957532FC2EDE0CFF1784D25646F97A.taxon	discussion	Notes: Amphisphaeria guizhouensis is placed within the genus Amphisphaeria based on the present phylogenetic analyses and morphology (Figure 1). Multi-loci phylogeny shows that A. guizhouensis forms a sister clade with A. curvaticonidia with 98 % ML and 0.99 BYPP support value (Figure 1). In BLAST searches, the ITS and LSU sequence of A. guizhouensis shows 93.6 % and 95.55 % similarity to A. curvaticonidia. Moreover, the new species can be distinguished by its larger ascomata (265 – 341 × 405 – 547 µm vs. 320 – 390 × 360 – 410 µm), narrower asci (142 – 168 × 7 – 9.8 µm vs. 121 – 162 × 10.5 – 17.5 µm), and narrower ascospore (19 – 23.8 × 4.9 – 6.3 µm vs. 17 – 23 × 6 – 9 µm). The apical ring of asci in A. guizhouensis did not show a blue colour change with Melzer’s reagent, but A. curvaticonidia showed the color change to blue (Samarakoon et al. 2020). The ITS and LSU sequences of Amphisphaeria guizhouensis showed 93.68 % and 96.26 % similarity to Lepteutypa qujingensis (HMAS 290478). Morphologically, A. guizhouensis can be distinguished from L. qujingensis by its thicker peridium (26 – 42 vs. 10 – 25 µm), narrower paraphyses (3.7 – 5.5 vs. 6.5 – 12 µm), and larger asci (142 – 168 × 7 – 9.8 µm vs. 100 – 140 × 4.5 – 8.5 µm). In addition, A. guizhouensis is J- in Melzer’s reagent, whereas L. qujingensis is J + (Dissanayake et al. 2020). The new species also differs from A. parvispora by having larger asci (142 – 168 × 7 – 9.8 µm vs. 62 – 105 × 5 – 6.5 μm) and ascospores (19 – 23.8 × 4.9 – 6.3 µm vs. 9.5 – 11.5 × 3 – 4 μm) (Samarakoon et al. 2022). Moreover, the asci of A. guizhouensis are larger than those of A. ailaoshanensis (142 – 168 × 7 – 9.8 µm vs. 70 – 100 × 7 – 10 μm) (Dissanayake et al. 2024).	en	Yang, Qing, Ren, Yu-Lin, Liu, Li-Li, Lu, Chang-Tao, Wijayawardene, Nalin N., Haituk, Sukanya, Li, Qi-Rui, Cheewangkoon, Ratchadawan (2025): Amphisphaeria guizhouensis sp. nov.
