038187EAAA68FFEF089CFBA6DAA2FA5F.taxon	description	Description. See Soop et al. (2023 a) on page 759. Notes. Soop et al. (2023 a) described Cortinarius sect. Turcopedes based on the type species Cortinarius turcopes Soop. According to our phylogenetic analyses, Cortinarius turcopes is clustered in the genus Thaxterogaster (Liimatainen et al. 2022). Therefore, we propose to include this section in the genus Thaxterogaster.	en	Xie, Meng-Le, Li, Yi, Wei, Tie-Zheng, Li, Yu, Li, Chang-Tian (2024): A new species and five new combinations of Thaxterogaster (Cortinariaceae, Agaricales) from China. Moser & Peintner (2002) described Cortinarius herpeticus f. altaicus based on the morphology. However, our phylogenetic analyses showed that Cortinarius herpeticus f. altaicus is not a forma of Cortinarius herpeticus and formed a separate clade in Thaxterogaster. Here, we propose it as a new rank and a new combination.	en	Xie, Meng-Le, Li, Yi, Wei, Tie-Zheng, Li, Yu, Li, Chang-Tian (2024): A new species and five new combinations of Thaxterogaster (Cortinariaceae, Agaricales) from China.
