Ping Wang ; Paratype: one female: same data as holotype .

Diagnosis. The new species is most similar to Yoshiakioclytus stigmosus (Holzschuh, 2003), but differs by the following features: antennomeres 5–6 densely covered with short grayish-white pubescence; elytra with sparse short white pubescence in the basal half and with a broad oblique grayish-white pubescent band at apical 2/5.

Description. Body length 6.0 mm, humeral width 1.9 mm. Body dark reddish-brown, clothed with a mixture of white, grayish-white, and grayish-yellow pubescence.

Head with sparse grayish-yellow pubescence. frons densely and coarsely punctate; vertex slightly concave; antennal tubercles moderately raised and widely separated. Antennae slender; scape nearly cylindrical and slightly curved, sparsely punctate; antennomere 3 longest, antennomere 4 about as long as scape; antennomeres 5–10 gradually decreasing in length; antennomere 11 slightly shorter than antennomere 9, apex acute. Antennomeres 1–5 sparsely fringed with long black setae ventrally; antennomeres 5–6 densely covered with short grayish-white pubescence.

Pronotum nearly globose, slightly constricted at basal one-tenth; anterior margin slightly wider than posterior margin; disc with sparse, fine punctures, clothed with moderately dense grayish-white pubescence and scattered erect setae; a pair of oblique black pubescent stripes present at base.

Scutellum ligulate, longer than wide, apex rounded.

Elytra 2.2× as long as humeral width; humeri slightly prominent anteriorly; sides subparallel from base to about fourfifths of length, then converging to a broadly rounded apex; surface finely wrinkled-punctate; covered with dark brown pubescence interspersed with erect grayish-white bristles; basal half with sparse white pubescence; each elytron bearing a basal tubercle surmounted by a tuft of black setae, a conspicuous white pubescent spot at midlength, and a broad oblique grayish-white pubescent band at apical two-fifths.

Ventral surface with sparse short grayish-white or grayish-yellow pubescence; meso- and metacoxae each with a distinct white pubescent spot; metepisternum densely pubescent. Abdominal ventrite I longest, clothed with sparse short brown pubescence; ventrites I–V laterally bearing scattered long erect grayish-white setae; ventrite V shortest, apical margin arcuate.

Legs long and slender; femora clavate, metafemora nearly reaching abdominal apex; first metatarsomere slightly shorter than following two combined; claws divergent.

Male. Unknown.

Etymology: The new species is named after Prof. Shunan Jiang (= Shunan Chiang) in memory of the famous Chinese taxonomist of longicorn beetles.

Distribution. China: Sichuan.

Remarks. Specimens were collected from the flowers of Hydrangea sungpanensis Hand.-Mazz. ( Hydrangeaceae), indicating its flower-visiting behavior.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03875167F24CAF476C826A271D3FF9BF	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
