03E88790E609FFDFFF292543FB6EE87A.taxon	description	Description. Male [13 specimens] Idiosoma (Fig. 2 A): conscutum narrowly elongate-oval shaped with moderately convex lateral margins, widest in mid-length; distance from scapular apices to posterior margin of conscutum 4.45 – 5.19 (4.72 ± 0.22; n = 13), maximum width 2.59 – 3.04 (2.74 ± 0.13; n = 13), ratio of length to width 1.65 – 1.84 (1.72 ± 0.06; n = 13). Light to dark brown (Fig. 1 A). Very faint, light metallic ornamentation patches along lateral margins and anterior festoon 1, 2 and 3. Lateral groove narrow, deep and straight, starting level of anterior end of eyes, enclosing no festoons. Line of lateral groove broken behind eye. Cervical groove anteriorly deep and short, groove stops anterior to eye level. Large punctations sparse on surface of conscutum, except anterior to eye, where punctations dense. Fine punctations evenly and sparsely distributed on conscutum. Eleven distinct festoons. Ventral idiosoma (Fig. 2 B): both large and fine punctations over entire venter; denser in posterior area. Anal groove posteriorly present, with anterior opening (Fig. 2 E). Spiracle plate comma shaped (Fig. 2 F), length 0.62 – 0.74 (0.68 ± 0.03; n = 13), width 0.28 – 0.33 (0.31 ± 0.02; n = 13), ratio 2.09 – 2.4 (2.23 ± 0.09; n = 13). Gnathosoma: Cornua distinct, prominent and sharp (Fig. 2 C). Distance from palpal apices to posterior margin of basis capituli 1.02 – 1.29 (1.19 ± 0.07; n = 13); width of basis capituli 0.61 – 0.69 (0.64 ± 0.02; n = 13); ratio 1.74 – 1.99 (1.88 ± 0.09; n = 13). Hypostome with 4 / 4 dentition, 6 rows of teeth per pile (Fig. 2 D). Leg: Coxa I with two spurs, external spur distinctively larger and longer compared to internal spur and spur on coxae II and III. Single spur on coxae II and coxae III relatively blunt and short. Coxa IV with distinctively long and sharp spur. Pale rings present on peripheral end of each leg segment (Fig. 1).	en	Cho, Mingeun (2026): Description of the male Amblyomma moyi Roberts, 1953 (Acari: Ixodida: Ixodidae) from the short-beaked echidna, Tachyglossus aculeatus (Shaw) (Monotremata: Tachyglossidae), from Mt. 03E88790E609FFDFFF292543FB6EE87A.taxon	discussion	Remarks: The narrow, grain-like shape of the conscutum is distinctive to all other males of the genus Amblyomma in Australia. Sexual dimorphism of the idiosoma in Amblyomma ticks is not very useful for distinguishing them as the same species. However, the narrowness I noticed in a macroscopic image of an unengorged A. moyi female from Barker & Barker (2023) led me to consider whether these male ticks could be A. moyi. From that suspicion, one engorged A. moyi female individual found together with these 13 males, plus the specimen location, which was from the same place as the A. moyi holotype (Mt Isa) led me to conclude that the 13 males (S 69924) are most likely A. moyi.	en	Cho, Mingeun (2026): Description of the male Amblyomma moyi Roberts, 1953 (Acari: Ixodida: Ixodidae) from the short-beaked echidna, Tachyglossus aculeatus (Shaw) (Monotremata: Tachyglossidae), from Mt.
