Body robust; crown yellowish marked with dark brown patches. Eyes black, ocelli milk-white. Pronotum with irregular fuscous stripes. Scutellum yellow, with two white spots each bordered by dark brown on the middle of the anterior margin and on both sides. Face with irregular dark brown lateral transverse streaks. Forewing brownish, with scattered hyaline areas. Legs dark, with brownish bands.

Head including eyes narrower than pronotum; crown short and weakly produced; face evenly convex in middle; anteclypeus broadened distally. Wing venation without extra costal veins, inner anteapical cell open. Profemur with 2 dorsoapical macrosetae (Ad1 and Pd1); row Am reduced to a single stout apical seta (Am1); intercalary row (Ic) with 15~17 setae; row Av with several short setae restricted to basal half. Protibia with one macroseta in row Ad and four in row Pd (1+4). Metafemur broadened distally and slightly bowed, with the apical setal formula 2+2+1. Metatibia flattened and nearly straight.

Male genitalia. Male pygofer longer than or subequal to height, without any processes, with a few macrosetae distally. Subgenital plate with mesal margin notched preapically; deeply concave near apex; with one row of macrosetae. Style with well-developed subapical lobe, dorsal surface of apophysis sculptured. Connective Yshaped, with stem elongate, about twice as long as arms. Aedeagus with or without dorsal apodeme; shaft more or less tubular, bearing apical, lateral, or basal pair of processes; gonopore apical.

Distribution. China (Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet), Indian subcontinent

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03EBEF54FFAAFFB00DE237B9FB915749	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. External features as in generic description.

Male genitalia. Pygofer side broadly rounded in lateral aspect, with a few irregular macrosetae distally (Fig. D). Valve about 4 times wider than long (Fig. H). Subgenital plate with mesal margin notched preapically, with 6–7 macrosetae from middle of the outer margin to apex (Fig. H). Style with well-developed subapical lobe, dorsal surface of apophysis sculptured (Fig. G). Aedeagus with well-developed dorsal apodeme, nearly as long as aedeagal shaft; in ventral view, shaft more or less tubular, with base swollen; bearing a pair of apical processes, aedeagal shaft approximately 1.25 times as long as apical processes (Fig. E); in lateral view, base of aedeagal shaft broad, about three times as wide as distal half; apical processes curved obliquely posterolaterad (Fig. F).

Measurement. Length (including tegmen): ♂, 5.4–5.6 mm.

Type material. Holotype: ♂, China: Tibet, Motuo, Daweishan, 30 August 2021, coll. Qingquan Xue (NWAFU) . Paratypes: 2♂♂, same data as holotype (NWAFU) .

Distribution. China (Tibet).

Remarks. The new species is similar to L. longus Xing & Li, 2024 in aedeagal structure, but L. longus has the aedeagal shaft about 2 times as long as the apical processes compared to 1.25 times as long in the new species.

Etymology. The new species name comes from the Latin “ brevis ”, referring to the short aedeagal shaft compared to that of L. longus .

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03EBEF54FFA8FFB00DE2339BFEF55275	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
