Head shorter than pronotum, frons slightly oblique in profile. Frontal costa parallel, distinct totally (Fig. 1D). Antennae filiform, short, 22 segments, reached the anterior margin of pronotum. Eyes oval, vertical diameter 1.3–1.4 times transverse, and 1.3–1.6 subocular furrows. Pronotum protrude on anterior margin and nearly straight on posterior margin, prozona 1.9–2.0 times metazoan in dorsal. Median carina extremely elevated in prozona, oval in lateral, cut by 3rd transverse sulci, both lateral carinae absent. Prosternal process schistose, flat at apex. The width of metasternal interspace 1.1 times length, and 0.9 times metasternal lobes (Fig. 1E). Tegmina well developed, reached the half of hind tibia, hind wing slightly shorter than tegmina. Hind femur robust, expand in middle, shrink in terminal, with sparse teeth in upper and lower median carina, outer side of upper basal lobe equal than lower, upper genicular lobe round but lower angular. Hind tibia slightly bend, with 10 spines inner and 18 spines outer, external apical spine distinct. Arolium between claws small, not reached the median of claws. Tympanum organ developed, semicircle.

Female: Body larger than male. Ovipositor shorter (Fig. 1A).

Coloration. Body white to yellow. Subocular furrows blue. Eyes with black longitudinal stripes. Prozona margin with blue stripe in dorsal. Tegmina with sparse black spot (Fig. 1B). Hind wings pale-yellow with blue in major vein, blue in basal but dark in terminal (Fig. 1A). Hind femur with 3 blue spots in upper median carina and a blue stripe in outer terminal. Hind tibia with 2 pale-blue ring in basal and rose-red in terminal; spines rose-red in basal but blue in terminal.

Measurement (in mm): Body length: ♂ 41.8, ♀ 48.6–59.8; Pronotum length: ♂ 9.43, ♀ 11.3–13.9; Tegmina length: ♂ 43.1, ♀ 47.4–59.8; Hind femur length: ♂ 23.7, ♀ 22.7–24.5.

Biology. Dericorys albidula prefers to inhabit desert areas with sparse vegetation (Fig. 2D). Adults often attracted by bright light and cluster together. Mating peaks from June to August annually. Mature males are capable of short flying.

Distribution. China: Xinjiang, Ili, Huocheng (new record); Egypt, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Libya, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Chad, Algeria, Iraq, the Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.

Diagnosis. Dericorys albidula is clearly distinguished from D. tibialis and D. annulata by a combination of characters. It is significantly larger, being approximately 1.5 to 2.0 times the length of D. tibialis and D. annulata . The hind tibia exhibits two pale blue rings basally and a rose-red coloration terminally, while the tibial spines are rose-red at the base and blue at the tips. In lateral view, the prozona of T. arenosus is distinctly elevated and plate-like, whereas that of T. aralensis is only slightly raised. Additionally, the basal area of the hind wing is green-blue in T. arenosus but dark-blue in T. aralensis . The hind tibia spurs of T. arenosus are also notably longer.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03D387FB925CE712FF33C10EFC0D3EE3	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
