The new species differs from the similar Neoserica rajasthanica Ahrens & Fabrizi, 2016 by the slightly longer left paramere, which is strongly curved dorsally at apex (lateral view). The new species differs also by the shorter right paramere, which is abruptly bent laterally behind base, wider and evenly narrowed towards the straight apex. Finally, the new species can be distinguished by the less deeply excavate mesal mesoapical emargination of dorsal phallobase, from N. rajasthanica . From the other two similar species, N. sforziae Ahrens & Fabrizi, 2016 and N. pushkarensis Ahrens & Fabrizi, 2016, the two former species differ by the more asymmetric apex of the dorsal phallobase, which is also in distal half (lateral view) not narrowed as in N. sforziae and N. pushkarensis .

Etymology. The new species is named after its occurrence in the Telangana state (noun in apposition).

Distribution. The species is known from the type locality only (Fig. 3).

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03C4F00DFFF7B14DFF0A0C94B9C2FCB7	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
