2. Acalypha boiviniana Baillon (1861: 272) View in CoL . ≡ Ricinocarpus boivinianus (Baillon) Kuntze (1891: 617) . Type: — TANZANIA. Zanzibar, 1848, L.H. Boivin s.n. (holotype P 540433!).

Distribution:— Africa. East Tropical Africa: Tanzania ( Zanzibar Island).

Note:— This species is only known from the type collection, dated 1848. It has not been collected in this location again, nor cited in other works from Zanzibar plants ( Nahonyo et al. 2005). We cannot rule out the possibility that this species is extinct .
