Holotype: MACN-Pv 9971, left mandibular fragment with p3 and m2, alveoli of p1-2, m1, m3 and partial uniradiculate alveolus for m4 ( Reig, 1955, fig. 3; Marshall, 1976, fig. 1d–f, Pascual & Herrera, 1973, Lám. I, figs 1, 2, Lám. II, figs 1, 2; Fig. 8A, B).

Referred material: MLP 57-VII-23–49, fragment of left mandible with i2, three a.u. and p3-m1 ( Pascual & Herrera, 1973, Lám. I, figs 3, 4, Lám. II, figs 3, 4; currently the specimen lacks p3; Fig. 8C, D this work); MLP 91-VII-2-1, fragment of left mandible with m3, alveolus for uniradiculate m4 ( Goin et al., 1994, fig. 2; Fig. 8E–G this work). MLP 94-II-I-120, right mandible with fragmentary i2, two partial a.u., two complete a.u., alveoli of p2 and p3-m4 ( Fig. 8H–J this work). MLP 06-VII-10–1, left mandible with fragmentary i2, with three a.u., alveoli for p2-3 and complete m1-m4, and right mandible with fragmentary i2, with three a.u., alveoli for p2, complete p3, roots of m1, complete m2 and alveoli m3-m4; fossil collector, Mr Vicente Di Martino, MMH ( Pardiñas et al., 2017, fig. 9.6).

Temporal distribution: Late Miocene. Huayquerian SALMA.
