Lectotype (designated here by Ohba): [icon] " Sedum foliis quaternis " in Linnaeus, Amoen. Acad. 2: 352, t. 4, f. 14. 1751.

Current name: Hylotelepbium verticillatum (L.) H. Ohba ( Crassulaceae ).

Note: Although Ohba (in Eggli, Ill. Handb. Succ. Pl., Crassulaceae : 141. 2003) indicated an illustration published by Linnaeus as the type, this choice was published after 1 Jan 2001 and so the omission of the phrase "designated here" or an equivalent (Art. 7.11) means that it is not effective.
