Forewing length: male 15.5 – 21.5 mm [mean (n = 6) 18.10 mm, SD = 1.953]; female 17.5 – 21.5 mm [mean (n = 9) 19.48 mm, SD = 0.792].

Note: To appreciate the reasons for inclusion of Pardopsis within the Argynnini , not the Acraeini , see the introductory section (above) on the classification of African Acraeini . Whether or not a subtribe (Pardopsina Ehrlich) is desirable for this very distinct genus within the Argynnini is something to be resolved by future research. The sexes of this curious species are very similar in appearance.
