Material examined. St 3, 16/04/2008, Trévani Beach 12°43'50.45"S, 45°11'39.66"E, coll. J.-M. Bouchard, 1 ovigerous female (LC 5.5 mm), MNHN-Na 16056; St 13, 07/11/2009, 11–14h30, Malamani mangrove, 12°55'22.08"S, 45° 9'22.08"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, mangrove investigation, hand and nets, mudflats at low tide, 1 ovigerous female (LC 5.0 mm), MNHN-Na 16052.

Distribution. Type locality: Hilo, Hawaii. Common species throughout most of Indo-West Pacific region from Gulf of Suez to French Polynesia (Tuamotu Islands).

Remarks. The specimens agree with the previous descriptions and illustrations. This common species in Indo- Pacific was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty. The specimen of MNHN-Na 16052 was collected together with 1 female of Macrobrachium australe ( Guérin-Méneville, 1838) (MNHN-Na 17579), Malamani mangrove, Station 13.
