Material examined. St 14, 09/11/2009, 10h–12h, La Prudente bank, 12°38'50.68"S, 44°58'41.93"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 15–17 m, sediment suction pump, sandy bottom, coral boulders, 1 male (LC 3.0 mm, LT 16.5 mm), with sponge, (first pereiopods similar and equal, carpus 3 segments, merus 2 segments) MNHN-Na 17566.

Colouration (fig. 16). Colouration of the specimen agrees with Debelius (2001) and Marin and Savinkin (2007), with body transparent.

Distribution. Type locality Noumea, New Caledonia. Also known from Jordan, Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Madagascar, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia (Queensland), Caroline Islands, Chesterfield Islands, New Caledonia, Marshall Islands.

Remarks. The only male specimen agrees well with the previous descriptions and illustrations. The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty.
