Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. discum (Smith) from the Western Palaearctic Region and L. niveocinctum (Blüthgen) from central to eastern Asia. It is separated from both species by the dorsolateral angle of the female pronotum strongly developed (its apex distinctly exceeding the anterior margin of mesoscutum), and the tuft of hair on male S6 Ω shaped ( Fig. 7B View FIGURE 7. A – D ).
In contrast, in L. discum and L. niveocinctum , the dorsolateral angle of the female pronotum is weakly developed (its apex not or slightly exceeding the anterior margin of mesoscutum) and the tuft of hair on male S6 reverse V-shaped in L. discum ( Pesenko 2006, Fig. 35) and trapezoidal form in L. niveocinctum ( Pesenko 2006, Fig. 41).
In South Korean species, the hair tuft on male S6 of L. denticolle is also similar to L. formosae (Strand) , L. occidens (Smith) and L. subopacum (Smith) . However, the male of L. denticolle can be sepated from three allied species by the combination of the mesoscutum flat on medio-anterior margin (Fig. 2C) and sparsely punctate on medial and posterior areas (IS = 3 d in maximum; Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5. A, B C).
