Diagnosis. First subdiscal cell of fore wing with distinct opening postero-apically, vein CU1b absent ( Figs 11-12 View FIGURES 11 – 12 ); vein 2-SR of fore wing complete; vein r-m of fore wing often absent or nearly so; vein 1-R1 of fore wing at most slightly longer than pterostigma; vein r of fore wing departing basally from middle from pterostigma; hind wing of ♂ with a pterostigma ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11 – 12 ); vein 1-M of hind wing shorter than vein M+CU ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11 – 12 ); vein 1r-m of hind wing slightly oblique and shorter than veins 1-M or SC+R; wings with distinct apical fringe of setae; vertex sculptured; mesoscutum with striae or rugae medio-posteriorly; mesosternal sulcus narrow; second tergite often with oblique sublateral grooves.
