Neotype (de Winter in Dyer & al., Fl. Southern Africa 26: 64. 1963): Thunberg 383, Herb. Linn. No. 570.7 ( LINN) .

Current name: Diospyros austroafricana De Winter View in CoL ( Ebenaceae ).

Note: De Winter treated 570.7 (LINN) as the type of this name. While it was clearly not available to Linnaeus in 1753, there is no original material in existence so de Winter’s choice is treated as a neotypification (Art. 9.8).
