Specimens examined. 1♂, 4♀, Asir, Abha, Madenate Al-Ameer Sultan , 25.ii.–25.v.2002, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( NMWC; CERS) ; 2♀, Asir, Al-Souda, Bani Mazen , 19.vi–9.vii.2013, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( CERS) ; 1♂, same data but 25.ii.–1.v.2013 ( CERS) .

Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2006). It was described from Nigeria and further recorded from Mozambique and Yemen ( Deeming & Al-Dhafer 2012). There are some specimens in NMWC collected from Ethiopia, Kenya and Yemen.

Remarks. Species of Lagaroceras are primary attackers of shoots of Poaceae .
