Entoloma View in CoL View at ENA subgenus Nolanea (Fr.) Noordel.
Within Entoloma subgen. Nolanea sect. Cosmeoexonema Largent & Thiers (1972) there is a fairly large group of species around E. sericeum View in CoL , characterized by the predominantly encrusted pigments in the pileipellis and more or less isodiametrical basidiospores. A recent morphological and molecular study of European representatives of this group by Vila et al. (2013) shows the large variability of this particular group of species. Two of them are described here in detail on material from Jalisco.
